Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards Call for Nominations, Deadline on March 26

Do you know a diversity champion—an Upstate person, organization or business who demonstrates leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion as an important individual or organizational mission?

Help celebrate their accomplishments and promote them as role models by nominating them for the sixth annual Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards. We are seeking nominees in five categories:

-Calder E. Ehrmann Individual Award
-High School Student
-College Student
-Non-profit Organization
-Business Leader

Awards will be presented to winners at the 6th Annual Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards Dinner on May 4th at the Spartanburg Marriott. Presented by the Richard W. Riley Institute at Furman University, this year's dinner will be hosted by the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by the Greater Greenville and Anderson Area Chambers of Commerce, with over 500 expected to attend.

An additional category may be awarded by the selection committee to a nominee who positively contributes to promoting international diversity in the Upstate in an extraordinary way. If so, the nominee will be chosen from those nominated for the above categories.

Past international award winners are: International Center of the Upstate (2005), Michelin North America (2006), Cristina Schleifer (2007), Hispanic-American Women’s Association (2008), Alliance for Collaboration with the Hispanic Community (2009), International Ambassadors Program, Clemson University (Honorable Mention, 2009)
