Google has announced plans to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country.If you would like for spartanburg and upstate area to be the community chosen for the trial, go to Google Fiber and click on "Nominate Your Community" to help bring the network to us. (Google account required.) The networks would deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today - over 1 gigabyte per second at competitive prices. Google Fiber Network is a platform for the business community, government, education, healthcare, utilities etc. to offer more innovative products to citizens in a variety of areas. Imagine remote access to Healthcare to a “web doctor on call” or live streaming government for greater citizen access or the ability to be taught Chinese from China or greater ability to telecommute for work.
