Alston Wilkes Society provides support services to adult and juvenile offenders, former offenders and the homeless. Bethlehem Center
The Bethlehem Center, established in 1930, is currently a multi-service Agency providing an array of programs to residents in Spartanburg County. The Center's day care facility has the capacity to serve 48 children between the ages of two and five. After school tutorial services, fine arts, sports and recreational activities, scouting, seasonal camping, primary prevention, and leadership programs for community youth are also available. Programming for adults includes Bible studies and fellowship, nutrition programs, life skills sessions, as well as sewing and craft classes.

A computer lab is maintained for all program participants and community residents.

CASA Guardian Ad Litem of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties
The mission of CASA is to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courts. We promote and support quality volunteer representation for children to provide each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home. Children's Advocacy Center of Spartanburg works to facilitate a collaborative, child-focused approach for the effective prevention, detection, investigation, treatment and prosecution of child abuse.

Christmas in Action is a one-day home improvement project in which volunteer teams repair the homes of residents who are unable to do the needed repairs. Call 864-585-7555 for more information.

Fuller Center for Housing of Spartanburg

The mission of FCH Spartanburg is to reach out and bless residents of the community in need of home repairs. While many groups find repairs to be prohibitive because of their cost and complexity, FCH Spartanburg realizes how life-changing repairs and renovations can be. They have accepted the challenge of improving the lives of their neighbors through this ministry. The Fuller Center for Housing of Spartanburg has completed numerous Greater Blessing Box projects during this past year with two additional major renovations. The work has impacted the lives of over 22 individuals, with more than half of those being handicapped, by providing decent living conditions.

Goodwill Industries of Upper SC, Inc. helps people with disabilities and special needs become fully independent citizens through training and employment leading to job placement. It provides rehabilitation service, training, work adjustment, employment opportunity, and placement in competitive industry for people with disabilities and special needs. Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg, Inc. is a Christian housing ministry building simple, affordable homes for deserving, needy families. Habitat homeowners buy their homes at cost with a 20 year, interest free loan - and must perform 400 hours of "sweat equity" building their own home or other Habitat homes. We provide a "hand up" instead of a "hand out".

Hope and Light Foundation is dedicated to funding research to eliminate SMA, a deadly genetic disease and the leading genetic killer of babies and toddlers under the age of two. Hope and Light hopes educate families and communities about the existence of this disease.

Mary Black Foundation
Our mission is to improve the health and wellness of the people and communities of Spartanburg County. We define “health and wellness” broadly — as complete physical, mental, and social well-being — and devote the majority of our resources to efforts that address the underlying causes of poor health outcomes in Spartanburg County.

This organization works to promote mental health and prevent mental illnesses through advocacy, education, research and service.

Miracle Hill Ministries
Miracle Hill Rescue Mission - Spartanburg, formerly Downtown Rescue Mission, came under the Miracle Hill Ministries umbrella in July 2002. The shelter houses men, women, and families all in seperate quarters.

Mobile Meals Service of Spartanburg
Mobile Meals is a home-delivered hot meal service for the homebound of Spartanburg County who are unable to prepare their own food. No charge is made for the meals, delivered Monday through Friday, and there are no income or age restrictions for potential recipients. Volunteers are the “life line” of Mobile Meals; it takes at least 150 volunteers per day to see that meals are delivered to the 2,000 recipients served each weekday.

New Day, Inc. of Spartanburg
Also known as New Day Clubhouse, New Day was founded in 1987 as a private, nonprofit organization through the efforts of the Mental Health Association of the Piedmont. New Day was established to fill the community's need for a psychiatric rehabilitation center serving adults, 18 years and older, with diagnoses of serious and persistent mental illness.

Piedmont Care is a nonprofit organization serving the Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union communities by providing HIV/AIDS care, prevention, and advocacy.

Salvation Army Spartanburg
The Salvation Army has been serving Spartanburg, SC since 1904 providing spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual help and hope to people of all ages, races and cultural backgrounds.

Spartanburg County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program
The Spartanburg County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program provides volunteer child advocates for abused and neglected children. Our volunteers are ordinary people who are committed to doing what is best for a child. Our free training teaches you the skills you need to be an effective advocate for children. Spartanburg Humane Society
The Humane Society is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the promotion of animal welfare throughout Spartanburg and surrounding areas. The Societyworks to make our community a safer place for people to live, to prevent cruelty to animals, and to educate the public in proper animal care, especially the neutering of pets.

TOTAL Ministries focuses on emergency financial assistance. TOTAL provides rental assistance, mortgage assistance, heating assistance, prescription payments, clothing, food, and, on limited occasions, transportation assistance. This is an organization brought together by ovarian cancer patients, healthcare providers, and other concerned individuals for the dissemination of information about ovarian cancer. It has been designed for the patients, for support, for education of the public and healthcare providers, and for the furthering of research in ovarian cancer in the state of South Carolina. The Foundation has affiliations with major gynecologic oncology centers in this state.
